What are your printing delivery areas?
Color Story Printing delivers to Sunnyvale, Mountain View, Palo Alto, Menlo Park, Stanford, San Mateo and all points in between. If you are outside of that print deliver area, we may still be able to deliver; please contact us.
What is your typical turnaround time?
Digital printing and film can be turned around in 3-5 days from the approval of your proof. Offset and Large Format printing typically takes 5-7 business days from proof approval. Please call us for an exact timeline once you submit your project.
How do you schedule projects?
Projects are scheduled based on our current workload. Once your estimate is approved a printing schedule is drafted to best meet your requirements.
What are your rates and how do you estimate a project?
With all the variables in each project, we estimate on a per project basis. Click on our estimates page for your individualized quote.
What is your payment policy?
The first job is COD and terms can be discussed for future projects. For printing jobs over $1,000 a 30% deposit will be required.
What methods of payment do you accept?
Checks or cash are preferred. VISA and MasterCard are also accepted.
What is the smallest print quantity you can work with?
Pricing is better with volume, but if one piece is all you need, we can do it! Please note that we do have pricing minimums that apply.
What if I have changes to a file I have already submitted?
We can accommodate any necessary changes, but there are cost and scheduling implications that are handled on a case by case basis.
Do you have trade pricing?
Yes. Trade prices are valid for Printers, Designers, and Photographers. If you think you qualify, please call us to discuss. A resale license must be provided.
What is the quality difference between digital and offset printing?
Digital printing is faster and more cost effective up to quantities under 1000 for certain pieces. Digital printing is toner fused into paper as opposed to ink absorbing into paper with offset printing.
Do you deliver or ship completed projects?
Depending on the size of project, we can deliver, at no extra cost, from Sunnyvale through Palo Alto/Stanford. For delivery from San Jose through San Mateo, there is a minimum delivery charge of $30. Shipping is always an option via a clients preferred carrier (shipping and handling added to the final bill). Of course, pick-up is always free. For out of state jobs, a credit card payment is required prior to shipping.
How long after we print a job do you keep our files?
We keep files for Print and Production clients for up to 2 weeks. If you are one of our regular Production clients, please contact us for details on archiving your files. We do keep and maintain files for our Design clients.
If we have made changes, how do we get our current files back?
We can release your files to you via email or FTP only.
